As a Healer I am frequently asked the same questions repeatedly about healing: namely, what kind of healing I do, and how I do it. In every day terms these are not easy questions to answer, and the best of Healers can be notoriously bad at explaining such things.

There really is no mystique about it, and this is why I describe what I do as 'natural healing' rather than 'spiritual healing'.  I have no problem with the word spiritual, but find the individual interpretation of it for many people I come into contact with, varies so much, that their understanding of the word in relation to healing must vary also.

Natural Healing is a truly holistic therapy. It addresses us as whole individuals, mind body and spirit. It goes beyond what you can see and feel in the usual sense and deals with those aspects of us that we are all personally aware of, but find difficult to explain.

Science has established that everything is energy in one form or another, and that is how healing works. There are of course many kinds of energy, some of which we cannot detect by our five senses.  We simply accept they exist by the results they produce. Radio waves are an example of this, and Natural Healing is perhaps an even better example.

It works in tune with, and from, the universal energy that maintains existence as we know it. Whatever created this existence and keeps it alive is a matter for the individual to decide personally. But, we do continue to exist and the energy necessary for that clearly continues to exist also and we are a part of it.

Healers are quite simply, people who are able to develop their ability to tune into the part of that energy which has a balancing and therapeutic effect. It is an energy that triggers the personal inner healing mechanism that any Doctor of medicine will confirm we all have.

Nevertheless, a reputable Healer will not advise you against consulting your GP or specialist consultant, but will be prepared to work alongside them if that is your wish.  I believe healing is a complementary therapy not an alternative. We should be glad to have access to the best of the old and the new and allow them to work together.

It is true that we can be physically as strong as an ox, but if our mind becomes confused we are incomplete and cannot function properly. If we are physically affected by either illness or injury, no matter how strong our mind is we are still disabled by the effects. We can appear to the world at large completely healthy, both physically and mentally, and yet if we are battling with an emotional or spiritual issue it can be painful beyond belief and can drag us down just as much as any physical condition can do. All of these aspects need to be balanced and in harmony with each other for optimum good health. This is one of the main functions of Natural Healing.

There are varying degrees of ill health, from a feeling of malaise that we are unable to properly identify, to serious life threatening illness. Healing can help with all of these in one way or another. However, expansive claims for miracle cures do not help the cause of healing or those in need of it.

If we are out of balance and cannot put our finger on what troubles us, healing can often re-balance the system and return to us that sense of well being that we have temporarily lost.

If we are suffering from a more severe condition, healing can often address the underlying cause and, working together with the medicine to deal with the physical symptoms, help to give a more complete recovery.

We still live in an age where despite the best endeavors of our Doctors there are times when some of us still have to face the possibility that modern medicine may not be enough, and that physically our chances of recovery are limited.

At times like these healing is able to address that aspect of us which is so intangible, and can strengthen the spirit to cope with such traumatic events, It is often at times such as these that we perform our own miracles of recovery.

Many of the people who come to me for healing comment that they experience a generally improved sense of well being and are able to sleep better afterwards in addition to any improvements in the specific condition they are seeking help with.

We all know the benefits of relaxation, and Natural Healing is a wonderfully relaxing therapy, working to calm down the aggravations and irritations in our system which are accumulated through the course of our lives and which can cause all manner of physical, mental and emotional problems.

In the midst of the stress ridden societies of today's world a Natural Healing session can be a sanctuary of peace, tranquillity and relaxation: an opportunity to discuss in a peaceful and confidential environment those issues which may be troubling you, or simply lie back, relax and allow the healing energies to work with you and for you.
